Matthew Schmitz and Megan Taylor
Megan Taylor, daughter of Daniel and Anne Taylor of Springfield, is engaged to Matthew Schmitz, son of Daniel and Nancy Schmitz of Bristol, Ill. Megan is a 2005 graduate of West Springfield High School and a 2009 graduate of Olivet Nazarene University with a B.S. in marketing management. She is employed as an account executive at BamBams LLC in Woodbridge, Va. Matthew is a 2000 graduate of Yorkville High School and a 2007 graduate of Northwestern University with a B.S. & M.S. in materials science & engineering. He was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps in 2007 and served until 2011. He is is employed as a systems engineer at Bluestone Logic in McLean. They are planning a Sept. 28 wedding in Ashburn, Va., after which they will make their home in Alexandria.
