Arlington Crime Report

The following incidents were reported by the Arlington Police Department.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, Bike Trail in the 5600 block of Four Mile Run. At 11:05 a.m. on June 1, a female victim was stabbed in the neck area three times after screaming for help when an unknown suspect attempted to get her off the bike trail. The suspect fled the scene on foot and the victim was transported to Fairfax Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male in his 20s, approximately 4’8” tall and 130 lbs. He was wearing a yellow Polo shirt and dark pants.

ATTEMPTED MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2900 block of S. Quincy Street. At 8:36 p.m. on May 30, a subject threatened to harm a coworker with two knives. The subject fled the scene on foot and taken into custody outside his residence. A 21-year-old Arlington man was arrested and charged with attempted malicious wounding. He was held on a secured bond.

ROBBERY, 1000 block of N. Cleveland Street. At 2:45 a.m. on June 1, a female victim walking home alone was confronted by a unknown suspect and robbed of her iPhone. The suspect is described as a Asian male in his early 20s and approximately 5’4” tall. He was wearing a light colored t-shirt and blue jeans at the time of the incident.

PROSTITUTION, 1400 block of S. Crystal Drive. At 12:12 a.m. on June 3, a man was arrested and charged with prostitution. It was learned he had an outstanding warrant issued by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement as well. A 23-year-old man of Miami, Fla., was arrested and charged with prostitution. He is being held without bond.

ARMED ROBBERY, 400 block of N. Thomas Street. At 12:12 a.m. on May 28, a female victim was allegedly robbed of her purse at gunpoint as she was walking to her residence. The subject is described as a black male, approximately 27-30 years old, 5’11” tall and 190 lbs. He was wearing a black hoodie and jeans at the time of the incident.

ROBBERY, 1000 block of N. Stuart Street. At 3:55 p.m. on May 23, a male subject approached the victim on the sidewalk and demanded his iPhone. The victim refused and the suspect grabbed the phone and fled the scene. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 20 years old, 6’7” tall and 200 lbs. He had shoulder length braids and was wearing khaki pants and a white dress shirt with rolled up sleeves.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 700 block of S. Dickerson Street. At 12:40 a.m. on May 27, a verbal argument escalated and a female subject stabbed a known subject on the left side of his torso. The victim sustained minor injuries. A 43-year-old Arlington woman was arrested and charged with malicious wounding. She was held without bond.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 300 block of N. Piedmont Street. At 11:35 p.m. on May 25, an intoxicated subject got into a physical confrontation with a known person when he was asked to leave his apartment. The subject struck the victim with a beer bottle, causing a severe laceration to his chest. The victim was transported to GW Hospital for medical treatment. A 39-year-old Arlington man was arrested and charged with malicious wounding. He was held without bond.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 4500 block of N. Pershing Drive. At 2:55 p.m. on May 27, a victim was struck in the arm with a wooden board during an argument. The victim sustained minor injuries. A 52-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding. He was held without bond.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 3000 block of N. Glebe Road. At 5:30 p.m. on May 21, a 16-year-old female victim witnessed a subject masturbating behind a glass window overlooking a tennis court. The suspect is described as a white male with scraggly hair and was wearing a white hat.

PEEPING TOM, 2800 block of N. Clarendon Boulevard. At 7:50 p.m. on May 24, a male subject was peeping over the bathroom stall at female victims in the women’s restroom. The subject fled the scene when the store manager called 911. The subject is described as a white male in his 40s, with shaggy brown hair. He was wearing a red t-shirt with a grey button down, blue jeans and was carrying a large green bag at the time of the incident.

BURGLARY, 3100 block of N. 20th Street. Between 1:30 and 5:30 p.m. on May 23, an unknown subject(s) entered an apartment and stole two laptops, jewelry and a gym bag. There is no suspect(s) description.

BURGLARY, 2400 block of N. Lee Highway. Between 6 p.m. on May 24 and 11:34 a.m. on May 27, an unknown subject(s) broke into the laundry room of an apartment building and stole the coin drawers from two washing machines. There is no suspect(s) description.

  • May 29: VA XCD 1114, 2008 Ford Taurus, light blue, 1000 block of N. Glebe Road.

  • May 22: VA XBM 2435, 2004 Honda Accord, white, 5200 block of N. Yorktown Boulevard.

  • May 23: MD D84673, 2012 Honda CBR, white, 4300 block of N. Old Dominion Drive.

  • May 27: VA WWT 1395 (tags only) 2300 block of S. Crystal Drive.
