Rising U-16 Girls Teams Seek Players

— The Lee Mount Vernon Sports Club Patriots seek players at all positions for two rising U-16 Girls teams. They play a possession style game.

The Patriot’s coach, Lula Bauer, VYSA Girl’s Competitive Coach of the Year, Region I Coach of the year, High School Coach of the Year, two time State Cup Champion, has a record of helping players reach their goal of playing at the college level. Bauer’s philosophy is: Being successful takes time, slow and steady wins the race, staying the course creates champions. Bauer is USSF Licensed, Advance National NSCAA, National Youth License, Director of Coaching License and sits as an Expert Panelist for the College Process.

Home fields are at Lee District Park, Franconia Park and Bryant High School. Those with birthdates after Aug. 1, 1997 are eligible.

There are two Rising U-16 Girls team at different skill levels:

  • Patriots Red – Fall 2012 WAGS Division 2; Spring 2013 Colonial League.
  • Patriots White- strongly competing WAGS D5 division - hopeful of promotion. Tryouts are during practice, Mondays and Thursdays through June at 6:30-8 p.m. Lee District Park, Alexandria. If interested, contact Bauer at LEBauer827@aol.com.
