U.S. Rep Wolf (R-10) Announces Service Academy Appointments

Rep. Frank Wolf (R-10) announced the 10th District’s Class of 2018 appointments to the nation’s service academies, as well as those selected for Academy prep schools. The students appointed from the area include:

Ingrid Boyum – Herndon, Madeira School

Matthew Skowronski - Oak Hill, Gonzaga College HS

Tyler Zimmerman – McLean, Langley HS

*These appointees were nominated by Wolf’s 10th District Service Academy Advisory Board, which interviews candidates and recommends nominees. The selection process is strictly a competitive one.

Others listed above received their appointments through presidential, Senate or other nomination sources. Coast Guard Academy candidates do not need a nomination.

Herndon MOMS Club® to Discuss Family Biking

The MOMS Club® of Herndon will host a discussion on family biking on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, 10 a.m – noon at Trinity Presbyterian Church (651 Dranesville Rd., Herndon). All Herndon, VA (zip codes 20170 and 20171) stay at home mothers are encouraged to join the event.

Drop by to talk about bike safety, the best bike trails in the area, and ways to include your children in biking fun.
