Mount Vernon — The Mount Vernon District Police Station reported the following incidents.
ROBBERY, Beekman Place/Village Green Drive, May 23, 12 p.m. The victim was walking when he was assaulted from behind, knocked to the ground and had money taken from him. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No suspect description is available.
BURGLARY, 3800 block of Candlelight Court, May 23. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.
PEEPING, 3300 block of Pintail Court, May 23, 4:41 a.m. A resident looked out the window and saw a man looking into the room. The suspect fled prior to police arrival.
BURGLARY, 7200 block of Groveton Gardens Road, May 24. A resident reported someone entered the apartment and took property.
ROBBERY, Audubon Avenue/Thrush Court, May 24, 11 p.m. The first victim was walking when two suspects approached him. One suspect displayed a handgun and demanded cash. One suspect assaulted the victim and the victim fled before surrendering any property. The victim was able to summon police and was subsequently transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Within minutes, the second victim was walking in the 3400 block of Audubon Avenue when he was approached by the same two suspects. One suspect again displayed a handgun and demanded cash. The second victim relinquished cash and property and the suspects fled on foot. The second victim was uninjured.
Responding police officers located both suspects and after a short foot pursuit, took them into custody. A 17-year-old male of the Alexandria-area of Fairfax County was charged with robbery, attempted robbery, malicious wounding and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. A 15-year-old male of the Alexandria-area of Fairfax County was charged with robbery and attempted robbery.
BURGLARY, 7800 block of Richmond Highway, May 22. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property.

ROBBERY, 7400 block of Vernon Square Drive, May 15. A man was robbed by two suspects while walking on a pathway behind an apartment complex. The two suspects brandished a handgun and took cash and debit cards from the victim. The first suspect was described as a black male, 17-22, about 6 feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds. The second suspect was described as a black male, 17-23, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, and weighing about 170 pounds.
BURGLARY, 2600 block of Arlington Drive, May 20. A resident reported someone entered the apartment and took property.
