The Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary at 15200 Mt. Nebo Road, Poolesville hosted a Thanksgiving with the turkeys — and other animals — on Saturday, Nov. 22. The staff from the Physician's Committee for Responsible Medicine helped set up the tables and chairs and pumpkins. Participants brought a vegan dish and visited with the animals at the sanctuary.
