Reston Master Plan Phase II Community Meeting

Supervisor Cathy Hudgins and the Fairfax County Department of Planning and Zoning are hosting a second community meeting regarding the draft Fairfax County Comprehensive Plan text pertaining to the Reston community. The meeting will be held on Saturday morning, Oct. 18, from 8:45 – 11:30 a.m. at South Lakes High School, 11400 South Lakes Drive, Reston. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m.

The Working Draft addresses the residential areas of Reston, the Village Centers, and other commercial areas located outside of the Town Center or Transit Station Areas. This meeting will focus on the draft Plan guidance for the Village Centers, including a proposed process for property owners to bring forward ideas for potential enhancements and/or changes to their Centers.

Shadowood Celebrates 40th Anniversary

On the occasion of Shadowood Condominium Association's (SCA's) 40th Anniversary the Shadowood Board of Directors invites the owners, residents, families and friends to celebrate 40 years of success, as well as, the Community's resilience to endure and overcome the bumps and detours on its journey from 1974 to 2014 and to share what's planned for the community in the next few

years. The celebration will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at 11639 Stoneview Square in Reston.

Delicious hospitality in the Clubhouse, video files, BBQ fixings at the front of the Clubhouse, special guests, Fairfax County officials and departments and a "bunch" of information important to Shadowood owners and residents.
