Churchill Road librarian Sari Warren and technology specialist Jordan Craig Kuhn spent Computer Science Education Week (Dec. 7-13), helping students participate in the worldwide Hour of Code lessons. Students in all grade levels were able to use iPad apps such as The Foos, Lightbot and Tynker to gain a better understanding of writing code, as well as access programs such as Star Wars and Minecraft on the Code.com website. Mrs. Warren observed that the “Hour of Code has been very popular across all grade levels. The students have all met with success while participating in the program. Their excitement is evident when choruses of ‘yes’ abound each time the student achieve their goals.”
