To the Editor:
I read the article on Thomas Jefferson High School [“Best and Brightest,” The Gazette, April 23]. As a long-time resident and senior citizen, I have wondered about the school. Liz Bradsher of Clinton identified the problem of "the best and the brightest;" maybe she is too young to remember the best and brightest in the U.S. government cost us 55,000 American lives in the place called Vietnam. Does not seem best and brightest is the way to go.
