Fairfax County Police are searching for a suspect in connection with two recent robberies and one attempted robbery at Burke area grocery stores.

The most recent attempt was around midnight on Nov. 7 at the Giant grocery store located at 6011 Burke Centre Parkway. Police said employees chased the suspect out of the store before he was able to steal any money.

Previous robberies believed to be related occurred on Oct. 26 in the Safeway at 9596 Old Keene Mill Road and Oct. 28 just after midnight in the Shoppers Food Warehouse at 9274 Old Keene Mill Road.

Police said the suspect typically wears a mask and is otherwise described as a white male who demands money from store clerks after entering the store, claims to have a weapon and then runs away. In the two successful robberies, the subject took an undisclosed amount of money.

A security camera video of one incident is available to view online at www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1dpiwsHQDQ&feature=youtu.be.
