West Potomac High School Booster Club continues its Christmas Tree Sale tradition for 30th year at Carl Sandburg Middle School. The annual fundraiser begins Saturday, Nov. 28, and continues every day until the trees are sold. The hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday, and from 5-8 p.m. on weekdays. Carl Sandburg Middle School is located at 8428 Fort Hunt Road. The bottoms of all trees are trimmed upon purchase. The Christmas Tree Sale is rounded-out by the sale of hand-decorated and plain wreaths by the West Potomac Crew Team. The boosters club raises funds in support of all high school sports at West Potomac, including an annual $15,000 payment to Fairfax County Public Schools so that the stadium turf can be refurbished when needed.
