ROBBERY: 4300 block of Chantilly Shopping Center. Nov. 27, 11:44. A woman was getting into her car in the Walmart parking lot when a man came up from behind her and placed her in a bear hug. The victim screamed and struggled but the suspect was able to grab her purse and flee toward the Holiday Inn. The victim was not injured. Officers located a suspect nearby. He was positively identified and then arrested. A 29-year-old man from Centreville was transported to the Adult Detention Center charged with robbery.
ROBBERY: 14500 block of Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy. Nov. 26, 8:26 p.m. A man entered the Boost Mobile store, approached an employee, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The employee was not injured. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money. He was described as black, 5 feet 5 inches to 6 feet tall. He was about 200 pounds, with a heavy build. He was wearing a dark jacket and jeans.
BURGLARY: 4800 block of Prestwick Drive, between Nov. 22 and Nov. 25. Investigation determined entry was made through a window while residents were out of town. It is unknown at this time if anything was missing from the home.
BURGLARY: 13800 block of Braddock Road (Evergreen Korean Restaurant), between 10 p.m. Nov. 25 and 10:45 a.m. Nov. 26. Investigation determined entry was forced through a door. Cash and cell phone were reported missing.
BURGLARY: 13800 block of Braddock Road (New Great Wall restaurant), Nov. 26 around 4:35 a.m. Investigation determined entry was forced through a door and cash was reported missing.
BURGLARY: 14000 block of Wood Rock Way. Nov. 14, 3:30 p.m. A homeowner reported that someone entered the home and took jewelry and cash. There is no suspect information.
