Katie Watson, a native of Alaska and a current resident of Arlington, joined the team at Volunteer Alexandria in January to work on fundraising, grant writing, and special events. She has a background in communications and specializes in writing and editing. Past experience includes a position as an outreach coordinator at National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Northwest Fisheries Science Center and an account manager for RedBasket.org, where she helped people around the United States raise money for medical conditions, accidents, and community improvement projects.
