Blanket Drive will be held on Saturday, Jan. 14 with drop off location at Outback Steakhouse, 6651 Backlick Rd/Springfield, from 11 a.m. to 5 pm. (Free Cocoa offered). Requesting: Blanket donations, new or clean used. Share the warmth – the community can make a difference. Blanket distribution date: Monday, Jan. 16, on Martin Luther King Day. The blankets will be distributed to the homeless who are currently on the streets, in the D.C and Virginia areas first; any extra blankets will be given to the homeless shelters.
