I believe that the fighting over the lighting over T.C Williams High School’s football field is ridiculous. TC should be able to have lights like many schools in its district. I think that in a sense, they are missing out on a true high school experience, by not having a lit field for night games. I see the concern from the neighborhoods around the community but in Alexandria, the game would have to be over by 9 p.m. and not cause any disturbances in the surrounding neighborhoods. I am a short walking distance of the TC fields, and I do not share the concern that the lit field would be harmful to the neighborhood. I hope to one day attend a game at TC under the lights.
