Reyes Brothers Become Eagle Scouts in Burke

Two new Eagle Scouts from Troop 1131, at St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church in Burke, are Elias Reyes and his younger brother, Jose Reyes. In the photograph are: Elias Reyes, Gretchen Tackaberry, paternal grandmother, Rowene Kroesen, maternal great grandmother, General Frederick Kroesen, maternal great grandfather, Jose Reyes, Rick Tackaberry, father of the two Eagle Scouts and an Eagle Scout, Nicole Reyes, sister, Col. Kief Tackaberry, paternal grandfather and an Eagle Scout, and Armando Reyes, brother, a rising freshman at Annandale High School. Both new Eagles Scouts live in North Springfield and attend Annandale High School. Elias plans to join the US Army Infantry next month, after graduating from high school. Jose is a rising senior at Annandale High School. The National Rifle Association (NRA) hosted the ceremony and also gave a tour of the NRA American Heritage Museum. A reception and dinner, hosted by Col. and Mrs. Tackaberry, grandparents, was held in the NRA Cafeteria.
