Historic Pohick Church to Host Declaration of Independence Reading in Lorton

The community is invited on Wednesday, July 4, to a free public reading of the Declaration of Independence at Historic Pohick Church by historical re-enactor, the Rev. Dr. Thomas Costa, portraying the Rev. Mr. Massey, rector of Pohick Church in 1776. The reading will take place at 12 noon, with free docent tours of the colonial church of George Washington and George Mason following the reading.
