BURGLARY: 6200 block of Driftwood Drive, 7/17/19, 10:30 a.m. Someone entered the home overnight and stole shoes.

Incidents reported by West Springfield District Station:

JULY 22

PURSUIT: I-495 near Little River Turnpike, 7/20/19, 11:02 p.m. Officers tried to stop a silver Toyota Celica for traffic violations when the driver refused to stop. The pursuit ended when officers used a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) to stop the car before it was in a more heavily populated area. When the car came to a stop, the man got out and tried running away. Officers arrested and charged the driver, a 22-year-old Springfield, man with reckless driving, no tail lights, felony speed to elude, DUI, refusal of breath test, expired state inspection, no driver’s license and possession of marijuana.

STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERY: Americana Dr/Inverton Rd, 7/21/19, 1:16 a.m. Officers patrolling the area found a 2015 Subaru Outback that was reported stolen from Frederick County three days prior. A man was seen getting into the stolen car and was arrested by officers before he could leave. The driver, a 20-year-old Manassas man, was arrested and charged with grand larceny.
