Senator Scott Surovell can write all the lengthy explanations he wants about his no vote on the assault weapons ban. However, he and Senators Petersen and Edwards were sent to Richmond with a clear message from their constituents. Pass the Assault Weapons Ban. That's what your constituents said they expected you to do but apparently you thought you knew better. As a result of your irresponsible action, we might both pay a price.
