Join Fairfax NAACP for the Second Annual Juneteenth celebration. The event recognizes the largest private emancipation of the enslaved, commemorates the cemetery where many of the freed are interred, and visits the site where blacks and whites worshiped as early as 1775.
Come hear the story of Robert Carter Ill's emancipation of 500 enslaved people in the 1790s and the freed community at this site. Bull Run had one of the earliest Baptist Churches in the region and its cemetery.
