Great Falls Elementary School PTA will hold an inaugural 5K for the new boys running club called “Let Me Run.” Great Falls Elementary is the only school in Fairfax County offering this program, which came at the request of parents last year, as there is a similar program for the girls called “Girls on the Run.” The head coach for both running clubs, Kelly Singer, added the Let Me Run program for this year’s PTA programs and offerings.
The team reached full capacity (30 boys), unusual for a first-year program, especially one that's at 7:30 in the morning.
Let Me Run is a new national program and for the time being, each team is responsible for planning their own event.

When: Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023
Time: 9 a.m. start time (8:15 arrival time)
Where: Great Falls Elementary Track, race will take place around the Deerfield Pond neighborhood
Anyone can run! GFES PTA is hosting this race as an end of season milestone for the inaugural “Let Me Run” boys running club. The community is invited to join
Participation for the boys, and anyone else who would like to run is free
DJ, balloon arch for the finish line, snacks and coffee, water for all, along with a few fun activity stations.
