Parking-Spot Dispute Leads to Shooting

Fairfax County police are investigating a non-fatal shooting that happened in Centreville last Thursday, Oct. 26, in The Meadows community. The incident left two men hospitalized for treatment of gunshot wounds. Preliminarily, detectives determined both men were in the parking lot arguing over a parking spot, prior to the shooting. Two firearms were found at the scene.

Officers from the Sully District Station responded just before 11 p.m. to the 14000 block of Golden Oak Road. They say a caller reported that her boyfriend had been shot near the entrance of their home. A second caller reported that another man was also shot and was lying outside.

When officers arrived, they found one man in his kitchen and another lying in his foyer, several townhouses down. Police provided aid for their wounds until fire and rescue personnel arrived and transported them to the hospital.

At this time, no charges have been placed, while the investigation continues. Anyone with information regarding this shooting is asked to call the Major Crimes Bureau at 703-246-7800, option 5.
