Town Meeting on Southside ‘Express Lanes’

The Virginia Department of Transportation is currently studying the feasibility of extending existing High Occupancy Toll (HOT) Lanes from the Mixing Bowl over the Woodrow Wilson Bridge and into Maryland. These changes could potentially reduce the current amount of untolled access that currently exists across the bridge, create impediments to using the bridge for Metro as it was originally designed, or have right-of-way impacts at existing interchanges to allow for new exit and on ramps, says Sen. Scott Surovell who will hold a community town hall meeting on the proposals.

VDOT is currently taking public input on these changes. Please Join us October 25 at Sherwood Regional Library from 6-7:30 pm for a meeting to learn about the proposed I-495 Express Lanes.

VDOT personnel will be there to update the community on this proposal and take questions. Information about the study can be found here:
