Town of Vienna residents and businesses are encouraged to compete in this year’s “Shine Bright, Vienna” holiday decorating contest.
Applications for the 2024 contest are now available online at www.viennava.gov/holiday or at the Vienna Community Center, 120 Cherry St., SE. To be considered for the contest, participants must submit a completed application and a photo of their display by Nov. 21, 2023. All decorations must be visible from the street.
This year, participants can earn bonus points by putting an image of Vienna Elementary School somewhere in their display to commemorate the school’s 150th anniversary. Registered displays featuring the school will get a special designation on the “Shine Bright, Vienna!” map, which will be released to the public on the day judging begins, Nov. 27, 2023.
Business displays will be judged by the Town Business Liaison Committee (TBLC) judging panel. Residential display winners and one “People’s Choice Award” business winner will be determined by popular vote. All winners will be announced on Dec. 8.
