Senior Services of Alexandria recognizes the immense impact of our volunteers all year round, but we would like to give a special shout out to those who supported us during the busy summer months. Our dedicated summer volunteers delivered Meals on Wheels every day of the week, even weekends; shopped for mobility impaired older adults and delivered groceries to their homes; visited with socially isolated seniors once a week; delivered pet food to older adults and their furry companions; and kept senior communities informed on upcoming events and crucial resources. Volunteers support SSA’s mission of fostering independence and self-sufficiency, enabling seniors within the City of Alexandria to age with dignity. To SSA’s volunteers: we are grateful for your time and effort in making Alexandria a better place for our seniors!

If you are interested in volunteering with SSA, please visit SSA’s website www.seniorservicesalex.org or call 703.836.4414.

SSA welcomes volunteers of all ages. Thank you to Westminster Presbyterian Church Youth Group for bringing smiles to our Meals on Wheels clients!
