Herndon High senior boys’ cross country runner Sean Deford, a Hornets’ team captain, took on the challenging 5K Oatlands course at Oatlands two weeks ago. Deford and his teammates ran to a fifth place team finish at the huge, midseason invitational event, held in Leesburg.
