The officers of the Fairfax County Police Marine Patrol Unit leave their harbor and prepare to patrol Fairfax County waterways on May 26. PFC Matthew Grubb and PFC Brian Bowman will spend the day patrolling the waters of Occoquan/Belmont Bay, Pohick Bay, Little Hunting Creek, Dogue Creek, Belle Haven and the 100 miles of Virginia shoreline that is in Fairfax County. Their mission is to ensure the safety of boaters, educate the public about boating and water safety and enforce boating rules and regulations.
