Sporting their Braddock Road Youth Club uniforms, 7-year-old twins Zahavah and Elayna Sterling, students at Laurel Ridge Elementary in Fairfax, are waiting for their turn with the face painter. Zahavah already knew that the butterfly design was her choice. Elayna had her mind on the cherry ice cream, next on her agenda.

Fai Ulit might have been doing just fine as a veterinarian nurse, but with a mother and aunt and uncle owning successful Baskin-Robbins ice cream store franchises in Northern Virginia, it’s no wonder that Ulit decided to take the plunge and scoop up a franchise of her own.
