The Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie 871 in Old Town presented a check for $1,700 to Alexandria Police Association representative Capt. Shahram Fard to support injured APD officer Peter Laboy. The check represented monies raised through an April 12 fundraiser that included a meal, silent auction, raffle and sales of the “Laboy Strong” awareness bracelets. At the April 24 check presentation are Patti Ross, Mary Jane Davies, Robin Hossfeld, officer Fard, Jean Oliver, Fran Larsen and Connie Jacobs.
