The Fairfax Symphony Orchestra (FSO) has elected officers for its 2007-08 fiscal year. Gerald L. Gordon, Ph.D will continue as Fairfax Symphony Orchestra Board president. Jose (Pepe) Figueroa will serve a second year as vice president; Thomas M. Brownell was re-elected secretary of the Board; assistant secretary is Jerold Kieffer and treasurer is Assadullah Siddiqui.

The Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Nuclear Medicine Laboratories (ICANL) granted accreditation to the Fairfax and Reston branches of the Cardiac Care Associates, PC’s Diagnostic Nuclear Imaging Centers. Additionally, Cardiac Care's Echocardiology Labs have been accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiology Labs (ICAEL).

Northern Virginia Supply Inc. of Springfield has earned the highest distinction in a new channel partner rewards program created by Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC. A distributor of heavy-duty truck parts, the company is one of 22 distributors in the United States and Canada to achieve the platinum ranking.

Ferris, Baker Watts vice president Becky Parker will lead the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce as its 2007-08 board chair. Parker has sat on the Chamber board since 2000 serving as vice president, secretary and treasurer. She is also active on the Chamber’s business councils.
