Fairfax High School to Lose It's Principal?

With two weeks left before school begins, Fairfax High School may be facing the loss of its principal. FHS principal Lillian Lowery would neither confirm or deny reports that she was leaving. "I haven't decided yet," she said.

Several sources at the school said that she was leaving as soon as a replacement could be found.

Pat Laing, athletic director at Fairfax confirmed her departure. "It was a shock, it caught us all by surprise," he said.

Questions about the possible vacancy were referred to Fairfax County Public Schools information specialist Paul Regnier. "I can't confirm that at this time," Regnier said.
