Springfield Youth Club. May 16, 8 p.m. Annual membership meeting at Washington Irving Middle School, 8100 Old Keene Mill Road. In Barker Hall near the gym. Paul Westlein, founder of Springfield Boys Club, later incorporated as Springfield Youth Club, will be honored. Westlein died last summer, but his family will be present to honor his memory. Awards given to several volunteers, coaches. Paul Westlein award given to Boyce Steiner, a volunteer of the club since the middle 1980s. He has coached over 42 times, has been a league director and a commissioner.

Fairfax Antiques Arts Association. May 16, 7 p.m. Monthly meeting at Oak View School, 5004 Sideburn Road, Fairfax. Larry Nyce, from Nyce Collectibles in Potomac, Md., speaks on "Railroadiana," anything made with a railroad's name on it, used on trains or made to advertise or promote rail travel.
