<bt>Education professionals from Maryland and Virginia arrived for a four-day visit Sunday, Oct. 6, to inspect Paul VI Catholic High School for re-accreditation by Virginia Catholic Education Association and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Last year, the faculty prepared for this visit by participating in a self-study of the school entitled "Design for Excellence." In order for the school to be accredited, it must pass certain criteria each year and an intensive examination every five years. The visiting team met with parents, teachers and students to get a sense of what the school is about.

"I am excited," said Helen Brewer, assistant principal of teaching personnel. "I think we have fantastic students and extremely dedicated teachers and staff. I am thrilled to have the opportunity for people from outside of Paul VI to see what we have to offer."

Our Lady of the Rosary mass was also held on Monday, Oct. 7. This mass is a way for the community to come together and reflect on the past first weeks of classes, joining together in prayer. A Rally in the Alley, a get-together with refreshments and live music, also took place on Oct. 11 prior to the varsity football game against the DeMatha Stags.
