The Virginia Leaders in Export Trade (VALET) Program is being administered through the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP). The VALET Program is an opportunity for businesses that have firmly established domestic operations and who are committed to international export as an expansion strategy. The program offers a combination of capital resources from the state and professional services from private-sector partners to enhance the international efforts of up to 15 companies per year. Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements: 20 employees; established three years, U.S. $2 million in annual sales, U.S. $20,000 commitment toward export trade; and completed international market research. Dr. Emmanuel Skordalakis and Dr. Nicholas Papageorgiou opened a new state of the art dental practice located at 46950 Jenings Farm Drive, Suite 160, Sterling. Belhassen Chouikha is the new manager of the Sterling Shoppers Food Warehouse branch of Provident Bank. Prior to working for Provident, Chouikha worked for different companies in Europe and Saudi-Arabia and is currently enrolled in the Ph.D. program at George Mason University.
