<lst>Intuitive Painting. Presented by Judith Forst, the class is about "the process of painting as a means for self expression, moving through creative blocks, finding your authentic voice and experiencing the joy of painting." Pastel Drawing. Reston resident Carol Berman will help students to learn the medium and improve drawing skills on Thursday mornings, from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. There is room for a few more students at her Reston studio. Cost is $15 per session. Call 703-437-9068.

Reston Runners. A Women's Training Program, coached by women, for women, will begin May 5, in a series of eight sessions, from 6:30-8 p.m. at the South Lakes High School track. The program promotes fitness in a non-competitive atmosphere. One of the goals is to prepare participants for the Women's Distance Festival 5K Race, Saturday, June 28, at South Lakes. The fee is $15. Health Workshop. Reston Community Center, Hunters Woods, 2310 Colts Neck Road. Register at 703-476-8617. Self-Defense. Classes meet every Sunday at the YMCA, from 4-5:30 p.m. Other classes meet 1-2 hours twice a week: Wednesday, from 7:30-9:30 p.m.; Saturdays, from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. The program is recognized by the Police Martial Arts Association and the American Jujitsu Association. Wee Play. Explore the wonders of spring at Wee Play, a weekly playgroup class. Play at the rice table, make a simple craft, listen to flannel board and puppet stories, shake the parachute, play with bean bags, hoops or balls, and then enjoy a snack with friends. Wee Play is located at the Classical Ballet Academy in Herndon. Classes meet once a week for 10 weeks. Artist Lassie Corbett is offering classes for children and adults at Herndon Old Town Gallery-A Place to Paint, 720 Lynn St., Herndon. Gentle Adult Yoga Classes. Classes are held in Reston at Brown's Chapel. Beginners level. Class schedule is ongoing. Relaxation Classes. RA's Brown's Chapel in Reston, from 7-7:30 p.m. Classes are designed to guide participants beyond stress towards feelings of peacefulness, calmness and relaxation. Easybridge!3. Brush up on Bridge playing and meet new friends. A 14-week Easybridge! 3 class will be held at the Reston Community Center, Hunters Woods, on Fridays, from 12:30-3:00 p.m., through May 9. The class is intended for persons 55 and older. Fee is $5 per person for people who live or work in Reston, and $10 for all others. A one-time fee of $20 is due to the instructor, Ronald Kral, on the first day of class. ESL Courses. Reston Community Center offers English as A Second Language (ESL) courses for adults with beginning to intermediate levels of proficiency in English. The courses will cover basic grammar, conversation, pronunciation and writing. Classes are targeted to people age 16 and older. Students are required to take a free Assessment Test before they can attend a class. The fee is $20 for people who live or work in Reston and $87 for all others.
