Springfield Minor Forced Into Sex, Drugs and Videotape e

Bikes in the driveway and a playhouse out behind a house in Kings Park house were typical of family life in Springfield. Nothing to signal any wrongdoings on the outside, but on Tuesday, Aug. 12, police arrested the residents, Holly Gray and her boyfriend Dean Cullen, on charges involving a 12-year-old girl, sex, drugs and a videotaping operation, according to the affidavit for search warrant.

The affidavit states that the Fairfax County Police detective talked to the 12-year-old, and she described sexual acts Cullen performed on her while Holly Gray videotaped and took snapshots of the acts. The 12-year-old also stated that Holly Gray and Dean Cullen provided her with cocaine and beer on numerous occasions during these encounters, which occurred through the last 18 months. Threats were made to the victim's personal safety and the physical safety of her relatives, as stated on the affidavit.

A neighbor, who chose not to provide her name, watched the family life at the house through the years. After Gray's divorce a few years ago, Gray struggled, the neighbor said. She was shocked at the allegations. though.

"She's had the typical tough times since she split with her husband," the neighbor said.

There were two daughters and a son living at the house according to the neighbor, and she hadn't seen either of the daughters over the last two weeks.

Another neighbor, who's lived on the street since 1972, noticed the same. One day, about 10 days ago, two police cars, a fire truck and an ambulance showed up at the house.

"I didn't see any smoke, I didn't see anybody being carried out," he said.

After searching the house, officers found assorted videotapes, camcorders, photos, disposable cameras, negatives and computers, as listed on the affidavit. The victim reported that Gray and Cullen sold the videotapes.

Holly Gray, 48, and Dean Cullen, 49, were arrested on Tuesday just hours after child abuse investigators served a search warrant on Gray's Springfield residence, according to Fairfax County police.

Cullen is charged with forcible sodomy, and Gray is charged with taking indecent liberties with a minor. Both have been ordered jailed without bond.
