A week before their shipment of Christmas trees was due to arrive, Troop 157, sponsored by the Herndon United Methodist Church, received notice they would have to find somewhere else to set up shop.
For about 25 years, the scouts have been using the parking lot of the Pines Shopping Center for its sale. This year, the center's management decided not to allow the scouts use of the space.
Instead, the troop will be moving across the street, after the owners of the property that houses Resource Bank and 7-Eleven said they had space available.
Beginning Thursday, the troop will be open for business at the corner of Van Buren and Elden Streets.
