Art Exhibit. “Rough Edge Photography” of experimental Mississippi artist, James W. Bailey. now through April 9. League of Reston Artists/University of Phoenix Northern Virginia Campus Contemporary Art Exhibition. University of Phoenix, Northern Virginia Campus, 11730 Plaza America Drive, Suite 200, Reston. Exhibit open during regular business hours Monday - Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.. This exhibit is free and open to the public.

Art Exhibition. The Greater Reston Art Center (GRACE), in collaboration with the Market Street Bar and Grill at the Reston Hyatt, will present an exhibition featuring Roberta Thole, oil and mixed media paintings. This exhibit runs through April 4. Jasmine Art Exhibit. The Jasmine Cafe, 1633-A Washington Plaza, (Lake Ann Plaza) will show the work of Pam Coulter Blehert through the end of January. An illustrator, cartoonist and oil painter, the award-winning artist currently works as a technical writer and computer graphics artist and conducts an oil/acrylic workshop Wednesday evenings at the Reston Community Center. Senior Center. Fairfax County seniors 55 years of age or older are invited to participate in a variety of activities (such as strength training, Tai Chi, low impact aerobics and line dancing) at the Reston-Herndon Senior Center, 1850 Cameron Glen Drive, Suite 200, in Reston. Most activities are free of charge. Transportation may be available. Lunchtime meals are available with one day advance notice on a sliding fee scale. The center is welcoming new participants. Woodshop. Reston Community Center's open woodshop meets Tuesdays 6-10 p.m. and Saturdays, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The woodshop offers ample workspace and has equipment such as table saws, sanders, drills, worktables and a lathe. In addition to a large and well-lit workspace and access to professional tools, the open woodshop enables crafters at all levels of skill to draw inspiration and advice from their fellow woodworkers. The woodshop is located at the Reston Community Center, Hunters Woods. The woodshop fee is $5 for people who live or work in Reston and $7 for all others. The Reston Community Center is located at 2310 Colts Neck Road in Reston. Registration is not required for this program. For directions or more information, call 703-476-4500 (TTY).

YAWEH (You are Welcome Here) meets at Washington Plaza Church in the sanctuary the first Sunday of each month from 6:30-7:30 p.m. for a Christian discussion group reinforcing God’s love for the GLBTQ community and the people who love them. The discussion is led by Pastor Sandi John and Minister of Music Dean Jenkins. The gathering is an informal time of worship, instruction and fellowship.
