Assault

<lst>1200 block of Elden Street. At 7:43 p.m. on Feb. 10, a complainant reported an acquaintance hit her in the face. Bruising was observed around the left eye. A warrant for assault and an emergency protective order was issued. Syed Jamal Meerza, a 35-year-old male of Herndon, was arrested for assault and transported to the Fairfax County ADC and was held on a $2,500 bond.

700 block of Fall Place. At 4:19 p.m. on Feb. 11, a complainant reported an acquaintance hit her and attempted to choke her. Two warrants were obtained for assault and an emergency protective order was issued. The warrants were entered into NCIC/VCIN.

1100 block of Herndon Parkway. At 4:42 p.m. on Feb. 12,

Thomas Richard Hogan, a 41-year-old male of Herndon, was arrested for assault. A scratch was observed on the left side of the victim’s face. Hogan was transported to the Fairfax County ADC.

900 block of Branch Drive. At 12:24 a.m. on Feb. 15, a complainant reported her roommate grabbed her. No injuries were observed. The complainant was moving the next day and did not wish to press charges. This case is closed exception-uncooperative victim.

<cal1>Burglary

<lst>2100 block of Wordsworth Court. At 11:57 p.m. on Feb. 13, a complainant reported a blue dress, change, and some prescription medication were taken from the residence. There were no signs of forced entry. This case has been turned over to CIS.

<cal1>Destruction of Property

<lst>1200 block of Elden Street. At 10:55 p.m. on Feb. 11, graffiti was written on a laundry room wall of an apartment complex.

1200 block of Elden Street. At 11: 16 p.m. on Feb. 11, graffiti was written on the floor and laundry room door of an apartment complex.

Autumn Place/Alabama Drive. At 9:21 a.m. on Feb. 15, a passenger window was broken on a parked vehicle.

1300 block of Benicia Lane. At 6:10 p.m. on Feb. 9, the driver’s side of a vehicle was scratched.

800 block of Crestview Drive. At 4:50 p.m. on Feb. 13, the rear door window of a church was broken.

1100 block of Freshrain Court. At 1 a.m. on Feb. 15, taillights were broken on two vehicles.

400 block of Elden Street. At 2:05 p.m. on Feb. 12, graffiti was spray painted on a wall.

<cal1>Drunk in Public Arrests

<lst>1100 block of Herndon Parkway. At 3:08 p.m. on Feb. 9, Juan Luis Cerritos Rosa, a 34-year-old male of no fixed address, was arrested for drunk in public in violation of his interdiction order. He was transported to the Fairfax County ADC and held on a $500 bond.

1000 block of Alabama Drive. At 2:27 a.m. on Feb. 11, Surbjid Singh, a 41-year-old male of Herndon, was arrested and transported to Fairfax County ADC.

Elden Street/Alabama Drive. At 2:01 p.m. on Feb. 13, Jose Aleman, a 41-year-old male of Herndon, and Lazaro Hernandez, a 55-year-old male of no fixed address, were arrested and transported to the Fairfax County ADC.

1100 block of Elden Street. At 10:18 p.m. on Feb. 13, Jose Nelson Berrios, a 33-year-old male of Herndon, was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County ADC.

100 block of Spring Street. At 12:24 a.m. on Feb. 12, Robert Skovholt, a 44-year-old male of Meredith, N.H., was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County ADC.

<cal1>DWI Arrests

<lst>600 block of Elden Street. At 3:15 a.m. on Feb. 15, Oscar Omar Ramos Avila, a 45-year-old male of Herndon, was arrested for DWI and transported to the Fairfax County ADC where he was held on a $2,000 bond.

600 block of Herndon Parkway. At 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 15, Robert Todd Arace, a 44-year-old male of Herndon, was arrested for DWI and transported to the Fairfax County ADC.

<cal1>Larceny

1000 block of Elden Street. At 11:27 a.m. on Feb. 11, a security bar was taken from a rear door.

1000 block of Alabama Drive. At 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 12, a complainant reported her vehicle had been stolen. The vehicle was recovered in the 1000 block of Sterling Road.

1000 block of Elden Street. At 2:56 p.m. on Feb. 12, a 12-year-old male of Herndon attempted to remove Crest Whitestrips from a business. The juvenile was released to his mother. A petition for concealment will be obtained at a later date.

1100 block of Crestview Drive. At 3 p.m. on Feb. 15, a driver’s license, vehicle registration, and cash were taken from an unlocked vehicle.

400 block of Elden Street. At 9:09 p.m. on Feb. 13, Jose Vasquez Chamorro, a 43-year-old male of Herndon, was released on a summons for concealment.

100 block of Spring Street. At 9:34 p.m. on Feb. 14, groceries were taken from a locked vehicle.

<cal1>Narcotics Violation

<lst>Center Street/Locust Street. At 2:02 a.m. on Feb. 11, Rosanna Surco, a 30-year-old female of Herndon, was released on a summons for possession of marijuana.

<cal1>Other Violations

<lst>600 block of Center Street. At 11:56 p.m. on Feb. 5, there was a noise violation and the subject was warned.

1200 block of Elden Street. At 11:05 p.m. on Feb. 6, Julio Navarro, a 28-year-old male of Herndon, was arrested for driving while his license was revoked for DWI. Navarro was transported to Fairfax County ADC where the magistrate issued a $1,000 bond.

600 block of Dulles Park Court. At 8:49 a.m. on Feb. 4, Jose Portilla and Nirbin Rivas Rivas, two 23-year-old males of no fixed address, were arrested for unlawful entry and transported to the Fairfax County ADC. Warrant checks revealed there were outstanding warrants for Portillo and Rivas. The warrants were served and bonds were set for each at $1,000.

1100 block of Crestview Drive. At 9:44 p.m. on Feb. 5, Gary Lorenzo Parks, a 25-year-old male of Herndon, was questioned for harassing customers for money in a business. A warrant check revealed an outstanding warrant in Loudoun for obstructing a court order. Parks was banned from the business and turned over to Loudoun County Sheriff's deputies.

900 block of Locust Street. At 11:58 p.m. on Feb. 3, Carlos Rojas Rios, a 19-year-old male and a juvenile female of Herndon, were observed trespassing on school property. A warrant check revealed an outstanding warrant. Rios was served the warrant and transported to the Fairfax County ADC where a second warrant was obtained for trespassing. The juvenile was issued a petition for trespassing. The juvenile was uncooperative in helping find a family member, so she was turned over to the Less Secure Shelter staff.

2100 block of Wilkes Court. At 1:06 p.m. on Feb. 14,

a complainant reported an acquaintance threatened to kill him. The complainant did not wish to press charges.

800 block of Alabama Drive. At 12:05 a.m. on Feb. 15, Freda Coates, a 37-year-old female of Chantilly, was arrested for driving on a revoked license. Coates was transported to the Fairfax County ADC and held on a $300 bond.

800 block of Alabama Drive. At 2:32 a.m. on Feb. 15, John David Jenkins, a 30-year-old male of Herndon, was arrested for allowing an unlicensed person to drive. Jenkins was transported to the Fairfax County ADC and held on a $500 bond.

1400 block of Oak Trail Court. At 5:14 p.m. on Feb. 10, Jose Cruz Perez, a 19-year-old male from Manassas, was arrested for failing to appear and for violation of probation from Prince William County.

1100 block of Dublin Place. At 10:55 p.m. on Feb. 11, a complainant reported an acquaintance threatened to damage her vehicle. Warrant procedures were advised.

1200 block of Elden Street. At 3:52 p.m. on Feb. 13, a complainant reported an acquaintance threatened to damage her vehicle and physically harm her. Warrant procedures were advised.

700 block of Fall Place. At 1:52 a.m. on Feb. 14, Manuel Mercado-Marconi, a 21-year-old male of Herndon, was arrested for violation of an emergency protective order. Marconi was transported to the Fairfax County ADC and held on a $500 bond.

500 block of Aspen Drive. At 10:09 p.m. on Feb. 11, Ronal Oswaldo Galdamez, a 23-year-old male of Herndon, was arrested for driving on a revoked license. Galdamez was transported to the Fairfax County ADC where the magistrate issued a secured bond for $6,000.

300 block of Reneau Way. At 1:06 a.m. on Feb. 13, a complainant reported two unknown subjects were viewed setting off a vehicle alarm.
