The following incidents were reported to the Reston District of Fairfax County.
<cal1>ASSAULT ON POLICE OFFICER
<cal2>11600 block of North Point Court. A 23-year-old Reston area man was arrested after he assaulted an officer on Friday, Dec. 19. Around 12:40 a.m., officers received a call for a disorderly man yelling and knocking on an apartment door. As officers arrived Edwin Irizarry, of 11695 North Point Court, apartment 202, walked up to an officer's cruiser and began to yell and prevented the officer from getting out of his car. Another officer attempted to arrest Irizarry and was assaulted. After being pepper sprayed and shocked with a taser, Irizarry was taken into custody. He was treated at the scene by rescue personnel. Irizarry was held on $3,000 bond.
<cal1>BIAS CRIME
<cal2>Hunter Mill Road/Baron Cameron Avenue. An anti-Semitic symbol was spray painted on a traffic sign. An employee of the Virginia Department of Transportation reported to police that a swastika had been spray painted, in green, on a traffic sign on Hunter Mill Road near Baron Cameron Avenue. Derogatory remarks toward police were also spray painted on the signs over the bridge.

1600 block of Reston Parkway. Wallet taken from business.
