The Potomac Bridle and Hiking Trails Association held their annual horse show at Callithea Farm on May 29.
"It was a beautiful day," said Sheila O’Donnell, one of the show’s organizers. "We had a good number of riders and spectators."
The show is the major fundraiser of the year for the Association, and the proceeds go towards trail maintenance and establishment. They raised $5,000.
"That keeps trails open in Potomac and it will establish trails in Darnestown and Poolesville," O’Donnell said.
The trails, which the group preserves, are open to all, O’Donnell said. "They are community trails. Walkers and their pets use them — marathon runners have used them."
