Women's Center Hosts Annual Leadership Conference

2004 marks the 19th year that The Women's Center of Vienna will host its annual leadership conference on Saturday, March 20, at the Hilton McLean in Tysons Corner. This year's theme, "Women Leaders: Creating a New Dynamic," aims to celebrate women who were pioneers in their professions.

Conference speakers include White House correspondent Helen Thomas; Al Gore's 2000 campaign manager Donna Brazile; author and boxing manager Jackie Kallen; Navy vice admiral Patricia A. Tracey; former assistant secretary of defense for public affairs Torie Clarke; author Danielle Crittenden; Ohio State University president Dr. Karen Holbrook; NBC producer Lai Ling Jew; Washington Post health columnist Abigail Trafford; news anchor Beverly Kirk; family law attorney Lynn Gold-Bikin; anthropology professor Helen E. Fisher; and Family Digest editor Bonnie McDaniel. U.S. Rep. Tom Davis (R-11th), Virginia Sen. Jeannemarie Devolites (R-34th) and Hunter Mill District supervisor Cathy Hudgins (D) will also be featured at the conference.
