The Long & Foster Companies, the largest privately-owned real estate company in America, reported August 2004 total sales of $5 billion for the month, an increase of 26 percent over August 2003. It was the best August in the firm's 36-year history. Long & Foster sales have been up consistently in the first eight months of 2004.

Cindy Schneider of the Springfield Long & Foster office was named the top producer, top lister, top seller and the agent with the most new listings for the month of July.

David Billups of the Springfield branch of Weichert, Realtors led the office in dollar volume, revenue units, listings and listings sold for the month of August.

Ricardo Bolanos of the Springfield Weichert, Realtors office was the top seller of the month of August.

Martha Allen of the Springfield Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office was named top producer for the month of August.
