Last weekend members of the Herndon Police Department, including Chief of Police Toussaint Summers Jr. took time to do some holiday shopping with Herndon's youth. Through their annual "Holiday Shop With A Cop" program Herndon police officers and its Citizen Support Team members teamed up to go shopping with selected children at K-Mart. Money for the event was donated by the Rotary Club and the Herndon Fraternal Order of Police. In total, more than $2,000 was raised and shared among the 31 youths.
