If the more you give, the more you receive, then the students and staff at Washington Mill have a lot of good things coming to them.
As one of many things that they do throughout the year, for the holidays they collected boxes of toys and donated them to the Women’s Abuse Shelter.
Proponents of the charity, Clay and Jennifer Clayton, who own Geranio Ristorante, hosted a holiday party for the generous teachers and administrators at Washington Mill.
Guests enjoyed salads as well as a choice of grilled Atlantic salmon, angel hair pasta, homemade lasagna and oven roasted chicken breast.
Jean Waterman was the special guest of honor. A teacher for the past 32 years, Waterman spent the last 18 years teaching fourth, fifth and sixth grade at Washington Mill. She is retiring at the end of the year.
