The Loudoun County Department of Social Services' Housing Services Division will be providing "Homebuyer Education Workshops" to assist potential first-time home buyers. The six-hour workshop will cover a number of topics relating to home ownership, including budgeting, credit, working with Realtors, the mortgage process and what to expect at settlement.

The next workshop will be held Tuesday, Feb. 15, and Thursday, Feb. 17, from 5:30-8:30 p.m., at the offices of Keller Williams Real Estate, 50 Catoctin Circle, Leesburg. Wes Foster, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of The Long & Foster Companies, announces that he will match contributions made by Long & Foster sales associates and staff to the tsunami relief efforts taking place in Southeast Asia.

Foster pledged that he would match company contributions to any reputable relief organization dollar for dollar up to $10,000. The company has raised more than $100,000 to date and that number is climbing.
