The Capital Home & Garden Show will offer the first glimpse of springtime Feb. 24-27 at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly. Highlights include more than 600 exhibitors, TV celebrities, 14 dream gardens and a living garden. There will be exhibits on kitchens, baths, decorating, gardens, pools, spas, outdoors, remodeling and more. Dates and times are: Thursday, Feb. 24 from 5-9:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, Feb. 25-26 from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.; Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Cost is $9 for adults, $3 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for kids 5 & under.
The Long & Foster Real Estate's $200,000 Scholarship Program will end its search for graduating high school seniors entering an accredited four-year college or university on March 1, 2005. All applications must be received by the deadline date in order for the selection committee, comprised of local members of academia, to select the final scholarship winners by spring 2005.
