The Lutheran Church of the Redeemer's Faith and Life Forums are one-hour programs featuring a speaker and followed by discussion relating to the topic of living one's Christian faith on a daily basis. They take place every Sunday at 9:45 a.m.

On Sunday, Feb. 27, Redeemer member Dr. Thomas M. Imhoof presents "The Modern Theologian Series: Reinhold Niebuhr."

Lutheran Church of the Redeemer is located at 1545 Chain Bridge Road, McLean, at the corner of Chain Bridge Road and Westmoreland Street. Midweek Lenten Services. Wednesdays, Feb. 16 and 23, March 2 and 9, 7:30 p.m., at Little Falls Church, 6025 Little Falls Road, Arlington. Dr. Anthony Tambasco, Georgetown professor, and Ann Marie Mack, Christian educator, will speak on different parts of the Bible as part of Saint Luke Catholic Church’s Adult Faith Formation Presentations. The presentations take place Wednesdays, Feb. 16 and 23, and March 9 and 16, at 7:30 p.m., at the church, located at 7001 Georgetown Pike, McLean.

Subjects will be: Feb. 16, "Where is God in Suffering? Prophets Habukkuk and the Book of Tobit," by Tony Tambasco; Feb. 23, "Worship and a Future of Hope: Prophets Zechariah, Joel and Malachi," by Tony Tambasco; March 9, "Gospel of John: Jesus the Living Water and the Light of the World," by Ann Marie Mack; March 16, "God's Universal Care: Ruth, Jonah and Esther" Tony Tambasco.

The Lutheran Church of the Redeemer is having a series of Catechism for Adults classes on Sundays at 5:30 p.m. in the Parents' Hall. The series began Feb. 13 and continues Feb. 20 and 27 and March 6. Subjects will be: Feb. 28, “John 6: The Eucharist — the Real Presence of Christ”; March 1, "John 13: The Eucharist — Forming Community through Service"; March 2, "John 13: The Eucharist— Becoming Vulnerable and Letting Ourselves Be Served"; March 3, "John 21: The Eucharist and Out Mission to Share the Good News."
