Art and Open House in Lee District

Artwork from the Springfield Art Guild will be on display when Supervisor Dana Kauffman (D-Lee) hosts his annual Open House on Saturday.

The Open House takes place from 1-4 p.m., in the Helen Wilson Community Room at the Franconia Government Center, 6121 Franconia Road. It's an opportunity for members of the community to meet and talk with Kauffman and members of his staff.

The Springfield Art Guild, founded in the 1960s, is a nonprofit group of artists in the greater Springfield area, which promotes an interest in the arts through shows, classes and educational programs.

The artwork at the Government Center features artists including Helen Dilley Barsalou, Kate Greene Gray, Lynne Grossman and Eileen Wolfe, and will be on display through Feb. 25.
