Air Force Airman Gagandeep Singh has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations. In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

He is the son of Sukhdev Dhanoa of Herndon. Singh is a 2004 graduate of Herndon High School.

Army Spec. Richard R. Ejorcadas became a United States citizen during a special overseas naturalization ceremony on Oct. 3. Ejorcadas is an infantryman with the 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii. He has one year of military service. He is the son of Erlinda R. Ejorcadas of Wilshire Drive, Herndon.

Ethan T. Weber has been promoted to the rank of captain in the U.S. Army while serving in Baghdad, Iraq. The captain is a support platoon leader with three years of military service.

He is the son of Richard M. and Barbara E. Weber of Woolwine, Va. His wife, Christine, is the daughter of William and Joyce Hahn of Herndon.

Weber graduated in 1997 from Patrick County High School, Lexington, Va., and received a bachelor's degree in 2001 from the Virginia Military Institute, Lexington.
